Press the [f] shift key followed by the number of digits you wish to see after the decimal point. For example, [f][2] will display 2 decimal places for all results.
Pressing [f][.] puts the HP-12C into "scientific notation" display mode. You may have pressed that accidentally. Just follow the instructions above to return to "standard" display format.
No need for a blog; the above information (and everything else about your HP-12C) is in your HP-12C User's Guide. If you don't have a copy, you can download it for free.
