Another possibility is to use the stronger CAS command solve.

Available via Toolbox-CAS-Solve-Solve.

 

When we tap this we get, in Home view and in non-CAS programs, the construction: CAS.solve().

 

In fact this should be :

 

CAS.solve("")

Note the quote signs.

Between the quotes we can enter our equation and we get:

 

CAS.solve("X+Y+Z+W+SIN(Z)=V,X=X")

 

The first X in X=X means that we want to solve for X, and the second X means that the X from the input is our guess.

Of course in this simple situation we need no guess and we could also have written X instead of X=X.

 

For more information about the solve command keep yout finger a short time on it and press the Help key.
