Hi @HLLIM

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To change the battery in your F870G car camera (often referred to as a dashcam), follow these steps:

1. Check the Battery Model

  • The F870G typically uses a Li-ion battery for its internal power storage. The battery model number might not be easily found in user manuals but is often a 3.7V 1000mAh Li-ion type or similar. You may want to check the actual camera's battery by opening the back cover.

2. Preparation

  • Ensure the car camera is powered off.
  • Unmount the camera from your vehicle or secure it on a stable surface.
  • Use appropriate tools (small screwdriver) if the camera is secured with screws.

3. Opening the Camera

  • Most dashcams, including the F870G, have a compartment at the back or underneath the camera where the battery is located.
  • Use a screwdriver (often a small flathead or Phillips screw) to open the rear panel carefully.
  • Remove screws if needed, or pop open the panel if it uses clips.

4. Remove the Old Battery

  • Once you have access to the battery, disconnect it from the circuit board.
  • The battery might be held with adhesive, so gently lift it out if necessary.
  • Keep track of the battery’s connectors and orientation to make it easier when installing the new one.

5. Install the New Battery

  • Take the new battery (make sure it is compatible with the F870G).
  • Connect the new battery in the same way the old one was connected (matching the polarity and connectors).
  • Place the battery into its compartment, making sure it fits securely.

6. Reassemble the Camera

  • After replacing the battery, carefully reassemble the camera by securing the back cover or panel.
  • Tighten any screws you may have removed.

7. Test the Camera

  • Power on the camera to make sure the new battery is functioning correctly.
  • Check for charging behavior and any power issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
