How to close all opened apps?

How do you close all opened apps? I do not think sliding the app card off the screen closes the app, so how do you completely close them?

Here is what the User Guide says:

To close an application or a screen, in Card view (see Manage
applications in Card view), throw the card off the top of the screen. If
cards are in a stack (see Work with stacked cards), you can only throw
one card at a time.

You close the apps by throwing the card away, plain and simple.

@direstrates:  Are you asking how to kill all running apps with one command?  Only way I know how is by doing the two-finger reboot.

That was my interpretation of the question and there is no single gesture that will do it.  It's rather inconvenient as, frequently, to get USB Drive functionality working, I'm asked to close all open apps.  Not a problem I've ever had with Android, BTW.

You are correct, I want to completely close all apps but without rebooting the TP. On my other #1 selling tablet this a simple and useful thing to do. I do not know how WebOS works in terms effects on performance and battery life as it relates to how many apps have been opened.

Don't think they added that feature. When you throw a app off of the screen, it releases it's CPU time but not it's memory.

But I guess it does have memory management as even with around 800MB memory used (after closing everything) I am able to launch a large game.

I think it just holds the memory in case you want to launch the app again, it will launch faster as it is already in memory.

This was recently updated, to include how to fully close an app vs putting it in "standby."  Not all apps work this way (ie, have a "standby" when tossed upwards), though.

I've had a Palm Pre for years and a TouchPad since July. I did not know there was a standby mode vs a close app gesture - I thought the dragging to the bottom and releasing was just a "fun" way to close the app. Learn something new every day.

As for the original post question, there's not a "close all apps" button but maybe there should be. Under in the settings tab in Device Info would be a good place IMO.
