HP Notebook 15-ay503tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently installed HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT software for my Windows 10 laptop. And from this HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT , I installed HP UEFI DIAGNOSTICS TOOL. However, when the installation of UEFI Diagnostic Tool was completed, a drive named " HP_TOOLS (E) " was automatically created. As UEFI DIAGNOSTICS TOOL is an important tool, I don't want to get rid of it. However, I would like to hide the " HP_TOOLS(E) " drive  from the file explorer. So, please give me  instructions to hide the UEFI Diagnostics drive (HP_TOOLS) from the file explorer in Windows 10.

Thank You.

Hello @owais3

To hide a partition from Windows Explorer, go into Disk Management, right click on the partition and select Change Drive Letter and Paths. Then remove the drive letter and click OK.

Follow the process again to add the drive letter back to the partition if needed.

Thank you very much. Removing the drive letter worked. Don't know why I thought a boot diagnostic tool needs a drive letter..

Thanks, again. : 🙂
