I found some threads of Elitepad 900 users having the same issue as you. If this is what you are experiencing, Im afraid I cannot help you as it seems there is a failure on the Motherboard itself that would take an authorized HP technitian to fix. It seems to have to do with possibly retatooing the bios to recognize hardware or you might also need a new motherboard.

I'm running another diagnostics test on it as we speak but it's passing all the tests surely if the motherboard needed replacing it would fail the diagnostics test

Not necessarily and the link I pointed you to was for example of the same situation.

Hiya Guys.

Well I've been sorting this Elitepad of mine out since I last posted & last night I finally managed to create a USB bootable flash drive which the Elitepad recognises in the bios F9. It will only recognise it though if I plug it in using the usb adapter it will not recognise it if I use a micro sd card as a bootable flash drive but that's OK. When I tap on the usb hard drive as it says on the screen as opposed to the OS boot manager it comes up with the HP logo & the circular dots seem to go around for ages. Does it take a while to boot from usb or is it hanging??
HP Recommended

Its hanging if its goes more than 20 secs or so.

HP Recommended
Ah right then in that case it's definitely hanging then. Any idea as to why that might be??

How did you create the USB installer?
