Hi

I have purchsed a Harma USB C _- HDMI adaptor  so that I am able to hook my machine to a HDMI projector Via the USB C Port

My Problem is that the pc will not reckognise the adaptor. I have used the Adaptor on other devices and it works fine.

Do I need to to something to activate the port

Regards

@Mhirst

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

Flower_Bud is at your service.

As I understand, you're trying to connect an adapter to the notebook,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

Have you tried a different adapter?

Do you have USB 3.0 Thunderbolt port?

Adapter to convert USB to HDMI only works with Thunderbolt port.

Once I have the information, I'll help you resolve the problem,

Keep me posted,

Cheers!
