Hello.
I've got a HP Slatebook 14 PC, that i've had alot of joy with. It's main purpose has been listening to music through spotify and watching videos on Youtube.
The other day while i was watching a video, i suddenly got the message that:
"Nvidia Wireless Display Services has stopped working" the video paused, and after a few seconds an error message came up in the app, i closed the app, and opened spotify, and listened to music.
The next morning when i went to power up the slatebook, it seemed slower, and right as i got past the loginscreen, the same message appereared.
But now i couldn't even get the sound going, and it's been like that ever since.
I've tried turning it, on and off, and also reset it, back to "scratch" and nothing has helped. The same nvidia error keeps popping up, and looking through the internet for a way of fixing it, havn't got me anywhere, so.
Please help.
*Edit : Also, when trying to run a video through youtube, i get a short loading time, then a error occurs, this is through the app.
If i go on youtube on a browser, the video will load and run, but no audio.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you have an HP Slate 14 and you received an error stating that the "Nvidia Wireless Display Services has stopped working" and the video paused. The following day, the slate was slower and the same message appeared and there was no sound. You have reset the slate to its original factory condition. Now the videos do not play through the Youtube app and if you open Youtube through the browser, the video plays but there is no audio. Fabulous analysis. Spectacular diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that.
To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- The exact product model no. This link will help you to find the model no: http://hp.care/2bygf7l
- Was the factory reset performed on the slate as described in this link?
I suggest you to update your Android version and check if that helps. I hope this information helps. Let me know the outcome. Good luck! 🙂

Hello, and thanks for the quick reply.
I have tried to factory reset, the way as described in the link you provided, and the outcome, has been the same. as soon as i get past the login screen, the message occur.
For the modelnumber, it was a bit harder to find, because i thought what i found, looked a bit short, as it was described as being unique in the video provided.
But the modelnumber is : 14-p000no , as said look a bit short but hope it's the right one.
As for the andriod system update, i can't update it further, it's been on 4.4.2 for a long time.

You're welcome.
Please try to play a video or audio from a video file that is saved in your memory card. Otherwise, try to record a video and then play it and check if the video and audio play fine.
If it does not work then I suggest you to perform a complete reset all over again.
Keep me posted. Cheers! 🙂

Greetings once again.
I tried to do, as you suggested. I tried to record a video, with the inbuilt camera, but it seems the nvidia driver that is defect, blocks the access to the camera. So i recorded one with my laptop and and transfered it to the HP Slate, but it couldn't run it. (Both running from memory card, and from runing from the harddisk)
I have noticed that there's a icon missing when sound should be appearing. There used to be a "b" when audio is being played, showing the Beat's intergration, but that doesn't appear anymore either.
Also tried fabric reset once again, without luck.

Welcome back!
Have you tried this option ot update the operating system:
1. Turn off your computer and plug in the AC adapter.
2. Turn on your computer, and connect to the Internet.
3. To access Settings, touch the All Apps icon, and then touch Settings.
4. Under About SlateBook, touch System updates, and then touch Check now.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the process. The system may reboot as updates are applied.
The detailed user guide can be found here.
If the issue persists then you may have to contact our HP phone support to explore the service options for your HP state book.
Please do not hesitate to reply to me for any further questions. Good luck! 🙂
