Hp 10 plus tablet
Android 4.4 KitKat

H. P. No longer supports their hp 10 tablet running kit Kat Software. This was not an entry level tablet and they have never offered any upgrade options. This feels like a ripoff by hp. To abandon support shortly after I purchased it.

Is there any way to modify this tablet to run a newer version of android or do I just junk it. This really lowered my opinion of h.p.

Hi @nickmae,

Thank you for showing your interest in HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I see from the post that you want to know if you can update from Kit Kat to a newer version of software. Don't worry I'll try my best to help you with this,

I did check the details on our HP website and found that there are updates available for your product, I would suggest you go ahead and take a backup and then try to install the image available from our HP website, using this link.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help.
