HP Slate 10
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

Hello Forum

I have a HP Slate 10 running Android using Gmail. Until a week ago everything worked normally. Since then, even though I have signed into Google and entered Gmail, I get an issue where I can't download new messages. On the screen I get a message saying that the system cannot connect and sign on.

I attempt to sign on in the block provided with the message, but it always comes back with the same message. I can see that there are new messages in the queue and can read the existing messages. Intermittantly, Gmail will suddenly work and download the new messages.

Using a Windows laptop to get into Gmail works without any problems.

I can access the net ok during this issue.

Is this a known issue, or does anyone have an idea how to troubleshoot and fix this issue?

Thanks
