Hi there
Any help with this issue will be appreciated.
I have a new HP Elitepad 1000 G2 which sees the sim card when plugged in. But shows "No service". Sim card is definitely active and working. Tested on another device and confirmed working.
I have tried updating all the drivers. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the HP lt4112 4G Gobi Module driver (Hardware ID USB\VID_03F0&PID_581D&REV_0228&MI_00
USB\VID_03F0&PID_581D&MI_00)
Have unplugged the sim card, powered device off, plugged the sim card, powered on (as mentioned in http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c03751022)
Have had no luck so far.
Could someone shed some light on what I can be trying before I log a warranty job?
Thanks for your time in this
Vignesh

Is the device being used in the country it was sold in originally?
Different countries use different mobile phone technologies. I have a HP Stream 8 tablet which I imported from America and over there it works at their 4G speeds but here in England I can only get 3.5 G (HSDPA) speeds because our version of 4G (LTE) is different to what this model of Stream was designed for.
As well as updating all the software (presumably choosing the correct country version of the cellular drivers), have you updated the firmware? If you're willing to say what country you're using it in and which network the sim is with, other users with the same device may be able to offer their personal experience.
