Hiya.... really needing some help. I haven't a clue about laptops and how to work them. Every time I turn on my lap top, it trays and says hp and loads for a short while then the screens goes bkack and foes nothing. Im tryingto reset my laptop but the f11 key doesn't seem to work?? I'm afraid I don't have a disc to use to restore it ECT, is their any way round This?? Many thanks for us help

First, ..did you use the Ctrl key when pressing the F-11 key?  .. if not then try that, if continues to give grief, then yes, you'll need to reboot using your recovery disk, or thumb drive recovery you should have made for your system!   Once you have it booted, go to control panel, make sure you're using "Large Icons" view, go to Windows Mobility Center, click on Function Key Row, change your setting for the Fn key use!

Hi...I tried pressing the ctrl key while pressing f11 and doesn't work. I haven't made a back up or anything....I haven't a clue on these things lol.
