Hi @Dave19552

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP 5530 printer is displaying an error related to the HP Instant Ink website, it may not necessarily mean the printer is worn out. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Check Internet Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet. If it's a wireless connection, try reconnecting to your Wi-Fi network.

Restart the Printer and Router:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it. Restart your router, wait for it to fully boot up, and then plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Access the HP Instant Ink Dashboard:

  • Try accessing the HP Instant Ink website directly through a web browser. If you're unable to reach it, there may be a temporary issue with the service.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or on the HP website.

Re-register for Instant Ink:

  • If you're having persistent issues, you may want to unregister your printer from the HP Instant Ink service and then re-register it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
