Need more storage.

With this laptop I was looking to play games and such. I went to look at the storage first and got confused because what I saw was only 29.1 GB of storage, half of it was used up alreadyfrom the computer hardware. I was wondering if I could add storage to the laptop so i could play games and if im able to how do I do it? Also if you answer this question can you put it in basic terms please.

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

When was the last time it worked without these issues? 

This computer came with  32 GB eMMC hard drive, and it can't be upgraded, but you can connect an external hard drive for more storage.
