Notification not working with text messaging

Hi,

My Elite X 3 windows phone acting up again. been doing well until about 1 month ago. Lost text messaging to voice while on blue tooth. so I hard reset it. 

Now, it is still not able to read out messaging text to voice while on car blue tooth, but will do so w headset bluetooth. 

but it no longer notify incoming text messages. it used to give me notification and shows up on my PC when I receive a text. 

all notification and sound are set to allow notification, and run on background.

notification will work when my phone is on with the text messaging active (open). but I dont need to be notified when I am using the text messing! i need to be notified when I'm not using my phone!

HI, 

      check under settings/messaging to be sure that your messaging client hasnt changed to skype Messaging , if you used skype that could be a possibility, also be sure your cortana setting on your pc  (get phone notifications on this pc) is on

and cortana settings on the phone (Send notifications between devices) is on.

I actually havent gotten texts on my pc for quite a while now.

Hi, 

My texting use MS messenger (not skype). I was able to fix the notification by factory resetting my phone. but not able to get the Text to voice back.  It use to work all the time, now it works only w/ bluetooth headsets, but not with car bluetooth. 

My PC notification also work now after I reset my phone.
