HP Compaq 420
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have an old HP Compaq laptop for which I need to reinstall the windows 7 OEM OS which came along with it as I haven't used it in a very long time and not able to boot it. I am not sure where to download it as Microsoft website is not letting me download the ISO.

Please let me know where to download the ISO and drivers.

Thanks.

You're very welcome.

Below are the links to both the W7 x64 Home Premium and Professional ISO files.

For your HP 420, you will need to use the ISO file for the version of Windows indicated on the product key label.

The links will be good for 24 hours from the time of this reply.

Pro:

Home Premium:

https://download.microsoft.com/download/E/A/8/EA804D86-C3DF-4719-9966-6A66C9306598/7601.24214.180801...

Use the Microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below that you will need to transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so that it is bootable.

After W7 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

Note:  Since the ISO file is a retail file, and the product key on your notebook's case is OEM, you may have to use the automated Microsoft phone activation system to activate the installation.
