Thanks for the solution I took the tick out of the box allow the computer to turn off the device to save power in the 12c hid device driver and now the screen driver works. I have been coping for a year now without the screen driver by using a mouse and bluetooth keyboard and was on the verge of throwing the tablet away and investing in another make/model. Hope it stays working

Please can you tell me how to get into the power mangemnt tab of the 12C hid device driver to turn it off. According to the advice you gave in the HP Forum, you said that turning the tick off will help to get the screen working. The screen of my tablet has not been working now for some time. It has the 12C HID device error.
