Our DeskJet 3635c keeps showing a tiny red dot and it doesn't photocopy or print. What should we do?

  • DeskJet Ink Advantage 3635 All-in-one.

@WWE_fans-121, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Where do you see this red light on the printer?
  • Which icon is highlighted?

For now, reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Check the ink levels.

Reinstall the ink cartridges. Try making a copy.

Perform steps 5 and 8 from this document.

Kindly refer to this document to resolve any blinking lights issue on the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
