I have the same issue. I came back from a trip to find my zeen split open from the battery exploding. luckily no fire or damage happened to my house. 

 

Please issue a recall before this gets out of control and some serious litigation for HP.

Just watch HP. They stalled in doing any issue resolving. In the end I had to fight to get anything. They finally offered me $75 online credit for HP. But when I stalled and asked around from others if I should take the deal... which I finally responded to. I am still waiting on a response back.

HP will do absolutely nothing for you. This product should have been recalled and buyers given their money back.

You’re out of luck.

I’ll never buy another HP product - they’ve lost a lifelong customer over this.
