HP Recommended
Samsung ML2165W aka Ml216x series wifi direct
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

after uploading and installing HPdoctor and Samsung installer and running a test through USB connection, my computer still cannot connect via wi-fi direct

printer is fine and allows my note9 to connect via Samsung plug in (hahaha spell cker says bug in ...:)  ) and print apps ("third party apps")(Samsung apps that use wifi direct turning it on and off to print)

test pages are fine via USB from Acer computer and wifidirect from Samsung Galaxy note9 and note4

used to print on my HP computer win7 via wifi

it seems win10 does not recognize wifi direct on the printer and addresses it as a router ... sometimes prompting me for a network password (had one wpa on previous computer which I have entered but ... nothing) ...

was hoping the HpDoctor prg would be able to fix issue and retrieve Infos via USB but it simply prompts me to get the installer which I have retrieved from HPWebsite, and installed, rebooted etc etc several times as well as unplug USB cable from printer and rebooted printer after 1mn many times ...

do I need a "third party prg" to run my printer wirelessly like on my note9?

I have ran out of ideas ... need input ...

thanks!
