Hello, i have an HP X2 Detachable with 32GB memory. I only have windows 10 and office installed but already the memory is full and i can't even update windows. Please provide a solution as i know the memory can't be upgraded and looks like i will already be forced to but something new which really is not acceptable. Surely if you are going to provide a tablet/Laptop there should be sufficient memory to update the progrm that installed as standard
I await your swift response

Hello @RCBCK
That is a problem with PC's that only come with a 32GB drive.
I dont think HP (and also other PC makers) anticipated these issues with Windows later down the road.
How much free space is available currently?
Are you trying to update Windows via windows update service? Is this for the 1803 update?
There are a couple of things you can try.
Does your particular model have an SD card slot? If so, install an SD card (the bigger the capacity, the better) and move your personal data over to it. You can make the Documents, Photos, Music, etc folders default over to the SD card. This will free up some space depending on what you have stored.
Heres how... https://www.thewindowsclub.com/change-default-save-location-windows-10
Install Ccleaner and run it. Download it to your SD card, then run it with the default settings.

This will free up temporary files and browser cache.
Run Disk Cleanup and remove the Windows Old folder.

IF that does not help, there is a way to update that might help but the work around is rather daunting.
Otherwise, it will be easier to clean install Windows via a USB drive and then re-install Office.
Let me know what you want to do.

You have done all of the above and you still only have 2GB of free space with only MS Office installed?
You have something else on your system that you havent erased or moved yet.
The only way I know of in such case is to clean install the newest version of Win 10 and reinstall Office.
