HP Pavilion 10 x2 Det LT 32GB

If anyone can help? My HP Pavilion 10 x2 detachable laptop is stuck in Hibernation blue screen with dots rotating in a circular pattern. Advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

I have no idea. Holding down the power button after 15-20 seconds should turn the unit off no matter what.

You didnt state what the full model number is so I will assume which one you have.

Generally speaking, the Pavilion Detachable should let you disconnect the battery manually.

That would save you time and then you can also do a hard reset with the battery is out.

Pull the battery and hold the power button down for 30 seconds.

Hello ScottW8,

You say you see a blue screen and  dots circuling around? Is this still happening now?

IF so, hold the power button down until the PC turns off.

Restart.

Does it clear up?

If the PC wont restart, its possible a Windows update went sour or something is wonky with Sleep mode.

If this is the case, You can try to enter into Safe Mode to see if you can find the cause. But to do this, you will have to have a Windows installation USB drive. It can get complicated if you're not into technical stuff.

IF you wish to do this and need help, let me know.

Or

You can perform a system factory reset. This wipes everything and reloads Windows back to the way it was from the store.

Let me know what is happening.

Hi,

Many thanks for your advice.

Unfortunately the notebook still wont close, even after holding down the on/off button.

Still have a blue screen with the word Hibernation and white dots circulating.

I am currently trying to run the battery down to empty (as internal battery), to see if this will prompt a restart.

If you have any other ideas please let me know.

Many thanks and kind regards for you assistance.

After many attempts and running the battery to empty, I have been able to reboot.

Many thanks for you advice. Regards
