When I fold the laptop to utilise the tablet its very heavy and also if resting it rests on the physical keyboard part which may become damaged . Can I not remove the tablet from the physical keyboard.

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

 

According to the Maintenance and service guide, It shows that it has been shipped with Island-style, backlit keyboard with three-coat nightfall black paint and natural silver ƭnish with numeric keypad Clickpad with Image Sensor Keyboard/pointing device.

 

Unfortunately this is not a detachable keyboard. Hence you will not be able to remove the keyboard.
