I can no longer bring up the on screen keyboard ... nor can I find anywhere on my laptop that tells me what type of Pavilion this is. It is a 17 in touch screen with an Intel Core i5 processor. Perhaps the Model and Serial # are under the battery?????
In any case, I first lost the on screen keyboard icon on the Task Bar. I was able to restore the icon but when I click on it, nothing happens. I have also added the Touch Pad icon to the Task Bar. When I click it, it comes up on the screen just fine.
I have searched and searched the Internet for a good answer but as of yet have not found one. I searched this forum as well. I found several discussions on the topic but they did not seem to answer my question in a way that I understood what I needed to do.
I hope that someone can help me. This is a very useful function when you are far from the physical keyboard but have a cordless mouse that can be used with the on screen keyboard!
Thanks for any help you might provide,
DannyDont

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
Method 1
Press Windows+U to open the Ease of Access Center, and choose Start On-Screen Keyboard.
Method 2
Open the keyboard through Search panel.
Step 1: Press Windows+C to open the Charms Menu, and select Search.
Step 2: Input on screen (or on

I have the same problem. I had fixed once though but it came back. The way I fixed it was by opening the HP Support assistant toolbar on the taskbar. In the updates section, I found a driver that I clicked update on. Once the driver downloaded a pop up the size of a troubleshooter appeared asking me to, 'repair' or 'remove'. I clicked on repair and the pc restarted. Once it was done everything was working again. Alas, I got the same problem again, and I cannot find that driver, therefore I am searching for a solution.
