Touchscreen on my Elite X2 1013 G3 (purchased in April 2020) stopped working. Reboot did not fix. Following instructions in HP support article (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03488148), I uninstalled the touch screen driver and rebooted the computer again. The driver did not re-install itself after rebooting - twice - and is visible only when showing hidden devices. Clicking on properties displays the error message, "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)." Attempts to update driver yields no results, as does performing a scan for new hardware. I have not yet performed a "hard reset" by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, but I'm thinking that should be my next step. Although the HP Support assistant reports that I have the latest BIOS version installed, I may also download and reinstall the BIOS. Before I do those things, I was just wondering if this is a known issue, or likely a hardware (and not a driver) issue, as I suspect. Thanks in advance. Cheers.
