I have had these ghost issues, as well.

In addition to restarting, fipping the Spectre x360 around in tent or tablet mode seems to eliminate the problem.

Hope this helps.

Jumping on because I am also having the issue. Just purchased a Spectre x360 Skylake. Everything is freshly installed and up to date. My rapid ghost touching happens in the bottom left section, about 2" up and 2" in from the bottom left of the screen. I also get occasional one off ghost touches. I'm waiting for more updates from this forum before I go through the process of sending it in for repair.

I'm having the same problem. Ghost touches started within a few hours. Spectre x360, brand new. Bios and driver updates did not solve the problem. Putting the computer to sleep and then logging in, or switching back and forth between tablet mode does seem to make it go away, for a while. HP is offering to take my laptop in for replacements, but after reading this board I'm reluctant to be without a laptop for two weeks only to find that the problem persists.

I am having the exact issues mentioned above.  I got the x360 spectre 4126na during the festive season and within less than a month I started to observe ghost touches (many times per second).   Somewhat they happen in the lower left corner area .  It has been observed that this happens mainly when left unattended for some time.  Closing and re-opening the lid seems to temporary fix the issue. Upon a restart the issue seems to be fixed temporarily until the next occurance as well.  I have updated the bios and made  sure the it is up-to-date with latest HP and windows patches but unfortunately to no avail.  I have bought this item online from John Lewis (UK).

Can someone kindly from HP suggest way forward.

I bought two of these machines with all avalible options and upgrades..

Bacially spent $6000 dollars for two defective machines that have this issue. Working on CAD models or driving a cnc machine makes this computer down right dangerous.. Get my arm cut off due to a ghost touching monitor..Way to go!

And there is no support for this?

Wow... Probably going to have to Blog about this if they arnt going to do anything about it..

Very dis-satisfied...

My machines were custom ordered from HP directly btw...

This seems to be a Windows issue rather than a HP issue. The touchscreen seems to be working well, otherwise.

Touchscreen diagnostics show normal function.

Windows touch keyboard is not very smart.

Its ALWAYS a windows issue.

However hardware developers are trusted to make certain that certain "windows issues" are compatable with a reliable experiance with their "Hardware"....

In my case (but I have the same issue on a HP Omen) I'm facing the problem with a linux OS too.
