Product: HP Slate 7 4600
Operating System: Android 4.1 - 4.3.1 Jelly Bean

Hi, 

 

I've been having trouble updating my HP Slate 7 4600. My dad bought it a while back but never really used it. I just found it and wanted to update the Android Version 4.1.1 to the most recent one. I've tried downloading the driver for Kit Kat and install through a micro SD but i get an error saying "installation aborted". 

 

I tried using the links provided here "https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Android/Update-to-Slate-7-operating-system/td-p/6374687" without any success.

 

How should I proceed?

HP abandoned their entire Android line of products years ago.

 

The only restore file available is for Jelly Bean:  Link

Thank you for your response WyreNut. 

 

The link you sent me just has HP Support Assistant regarding drivers. Do you know where I can find the update from Jelly Bean 4.1 to 4.3 so that i can update to KitKat after?

 

Also, whats the latest update for the slate 7?

There is no update to higher Android versions available from HP.   Sorry.

 

The page allows you to select different versions of the OS, but no matter which one you pick, Jelly Bean is the only one available.. version 1.05.18 Rev.a is the file (released in August of 2015)   😞
