I'd be glad to turn off system sounds. I find the sound of the go-back button on the homescreen most annoying. I've only been able to turn off the sounds of the virtual keyboard. Any idea?

Glad that helped...I'm still learning my way around the Slate and Android, so your post also helped me :generic:

Cheers!

Go back to the Settings app;

Scroll down to Language and Input.

Under the Default heading, to the right of Google Keyboard tap the "settings" icon.

Un-check "Sound on keypress"

Hope that does it for you, let us know.
