I'm trying to find the right place to get some techincal development help with HP x2 tablets.
I have an application that runs at boot time, using UEFI. With the x2 tablets, the touch screen (UEFI AbsolutePointerProtocol) is not available.
UNLESS, you press escape during boot to display the menu (and onscreen keyboard) and then continue to boot. Then the AbsolutePointerProtocol becomes available. Which means you need a keyboard to enable the touch screen!!
Can anyone help? or tell me the right place to ask the question.
Thanks
Duncan

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand you need information on the UEFI touchscreen support for HP X2 tablet
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Have you been able to use this configuration any time in the recent past or is this the first time you are using this application?
While you respond to that, here's what you should know about the HP Support:
I'm afraid we don't support making any changes to the UEFI or assist with customizing the PC as such that would help run applications before or during the boot time,
I recommend you Contact the application manufacturer or the local tech to assist you with the same.
Keep me posted,
If the information I've provided was helpful,
give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.
