Each time I print using the plug in my settings choices (fit to page, resolutionm etc) change.  Can these be set perminently?  If so, where is this set?

App version is: 4.8.1-3.1.3-16-18.3.80-773

@RPM1974,

A warm welcome to the Hp support forums. A good day to you. Great description of the issue. Kudos to you for that. I am happy to assist you here.

  • Did this happen after a recent software or OS update?
  • Did you uninstall and reinstall the latest version of HP print service plugin and check again?
  • DId you try Hp app?

For now, try these steps:

  • Run all the latest updates on your Android phone and ensure that Android 8.1 Oreo is completely up to date.
  • Then uninstall HP print service plugin and reinstall it again from the Google play store
  • Follow all the relevant steps from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04024231.(HP Printers - Printing from Android Smartphones or Tablets
  • This link gives you all relevant information with vital FAQs that should answer all your questions.
  • This should resolve the issue for you.

If the issue persists, then from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03561640 (HP Printers - Using the HP App (Android, Apple iOS) download, install and use HP app with very relevant FAQs.

This should do the trick for you.

Good luck and keep me posted about the developments. If this helps, please mark this as Accepted Solution as it will help several others with the same issue and give the post a Kudos for my efforts to help. Thank you and have a great week ahead. 🙂
