HP Prime Graphing Calculator

Hi everyone. After i reseted the calculator, the hp logo and the  x2+y2=1 screen appears over and over again, never iniatializing. I tried to connect it to the computer (in order to upgrade the firmware) but it is not recognized (it doesn't appear not even an unknown device). I tried the CFO keys yo reset the calculator, but even in that way (after clearing the disk C: and reseting the calculator), it never initializes. Please help me. :mansad:

First thing - hold down the  backspace key. If the calculator boots, horray!  (you may still want to continue to make sure you are totally up to date which adds new features)

Do you have a windows computer?

Install the HP Prime Connectivity kit. Hold down SYMB while the unit is powering on. You should see a
"recovery mode" message.

Turn on the connkit - it will probably ask you to download some files. Do so. Then connect the calculator (not before you see that "recovery" message.

Connect the calculator. It should try to update your calc.

Post back here if anything doesn't work.

I hope Tim's suggestions work, but if they don't, my first guess would be that a key is stuck down. Try the keyboard test (Off, C+F+O+On, 3, 3, Enter). If none of the keys are already black, and the test ends correctly ("OK" in blue) then my guess is incorrect.

Disclaimer: I don't work for HP. I'm just another happy HP calculator user.
