Pavillion
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Brand new Pavillion with Windows 10. Windows Hello doesn't see the camera. Camera works with Zoom and Facebook. Very disappointed with HP. This laptop arrived 4 days ago. I've been waiting 2 days for HP to respond. I guess they got their money and could care less at this point.

@KopyKat58 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that Windows Hello is not working.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

The following Group Policy setting does not currently allow log-on or sign-on through facial recognition:

Computer Configuration / Local Policies / Security Options

Interactive logon: Do not display last user name: Enable

By default, this Group Policy setting is disabled, however, after the update, it may not be.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, change this setting to  Disabled, or wait for the anniversary update of Windows 10.

Here's an article from Microsoft with the details you need: Click here

I don't understand what is going on. Friday (4/24) an HP agent told me my make and model of laptop does not support Windows Hello. Please will you all get on the same page? Does it or does it not support Windows Hello?
