I just recived a new update for my android OS 4.1.1 but I can't find what's new on it, even the version didn't changed ( it steels 4.1.1 ). Can anyone tell me the difference ?. I heard that the android 4.3 is now availble on nexus devices, but not others (like HP Slate 7).

HP pushes out updates to its "user builds" to provide patches or improvements.  It is not changing the version of Android on the device.

The latest build changed from 1.05.08 to 1.05.09.  You can view this information by going to Settings/About tablet.

Hello,

Just also did the update 4.5mb of it, restart and all but my system version still is 1.05.8 .
Tried redoing the update but system says I already have the latest version.

So what up.

I am interested in upgrading to android 4.2 at least. When Hp will be able to offer us this update?

I am trying to install widgets and many of them do not work because of my android 4.1.

Thank you in advance.

Ok, I know I'm late to the party but if you buy a laptop and you are running Windows (X) there is NO guarantee that the same laptop can and will run the new Windows (Y) OS. There are always hardware constraints. That's why companies retire older hardware to the "not supported" OS lists. There is a cost factor in writing new drivers for "outdated" hardware. As this forum shows other users can and do solve the limitations of the hardware vendors.
