Operating System: Chrome OS

I've had this printer for years and the computer and wifi I had it set up on are no longer. I'm attempting to set up printer wirelessly and dont have a computer or a setup disk, only a smartphone Samsung galaxy7. I've downloaded the hp apps plug in and smart but I'm not getting it. when I go to touchscreen-setup on the printer it gives me 2 options  network or tools. so on the network it displays wifi protected setup, it gives me 2 options push button or PIN . push button takes me to wps connection in progress then it times out after a few minutes.  when I push pin o get a pin and it sais to touch start. when I touch start is sais wps connection in progress with a wps pin # at the top. then it times out. I'm stumped. any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?
