error message "printer not available"

Using hp smart app on wireless connection, have had to reconnect printer to wireless network, including uninstall and reinstall app. I estimate I've had to do this at least 5 times in last 6 months. I had same problem with my other hp 4500 model. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. I came across your post and would like to assist.

I understand that you have to uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app for your HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer to make it work. Also, you have to reconnect the printer to the wireless network. 

If the issue persists while using the HP Smart app then you may try printing using a different service such as the HP Print Service Plugin.
