Error message: MEMORY CLEAR on HP35S.  Cannot clear the message.

and if <R/S> <C> <i> doesn't do it, nor leaving the batteries out for over one hour, nor pushing the reset button,.....

Sequel.

After about one hour, the flashing stopped, with the display showing "MEMORY CLEAR" constantly.

Then the 3-key <R/S> <C> <i> trick worked

Hi,

 

Chances are the error will return. At the end of the day there is only one solution:

 

New batteries. A reliable brand from a reputable source (a lot of cheap rubbish out there that doesn't do the job for this calculator).
