I am having the same problem with my HP Mixed Reality Headset, it worked fine but now Windows 10 is telling me that the USB 3.0 port has insufficient speed, and by the way the connector at the headset gets really hot and always has, I mean almost can't touch it cause it's that hot.

I have an MSI X399 Gaming Pro Carbon AC motherbourd so spec's are good, getting really frustrated, please help.

I have heard of a few others with windows reality headsets having heat problems at the connector.

Only fix I have found is to replace it.

If you are past the point of returning it to the store you purchased from, contact HP Support directly for a warranty issue.
