Product: HP 12C

The calculater adds digits as I punch them in and of course mis-calculated. I am assuming the asterix has something to do with this. Has anyone else experienced this? Can someone give me a solution please.

From the HP-12C Quick Start Guide: "The low battery symbol (*) appears when battery power is nearly exhausted."

 

Suggestion: Try replacing the batteries.
