I don't understand how if you can't get Google Play Store how can I be getting google and google chrome on my laptop HP 15. What's the differnce because this device I am on is NOT an android

Looks like your machine runs Windows and very simple answer: Windows machines do NOT use Google Play Store, only Android devices use Google Play Store.

 

Windows machines use Windows Store. You can install Chrome web browser on Windows machines using the following link:

 

         https://windows10portal.com/download-chrome/
