- How do I rename my HP Envy 6000 printer?

I setup the Envy 6000 printer and I’m printing from an iPhone and an iPad using the HP Smart app.
Now I’d like to rename the printer to reflect its location in the house, e.g. Basement Color Printer.
How do I do that? It seems like such an obvious thing to want to do. What am I missing?

Try the following on iPad / iPADOS
Open the HP Smart app on your mobile device
Settings gear / wheel
Add / Set Up a Printer
In section Options >> Rename My Printer
HP_Smart_Mobile_Rename_Printer_2

I do not see a Rename My Printer option (see below).
Perhaps there’s an opportunity to improve the UX by asking for a new Printer Name during Setup, instead of having users break their setup to do something as normal as renaming the printer, and then perform the setup all over again?

Well, Rats.
I just checked my Android phone - HP Smart for that device also lacks the rename option.
I don't have an iPhone (so sad about that) - I cannot verify but I do believe you - the option is not there.
I will edit my first post to correct the answer.
No, you cannot bypass the option and rename the printer during setup or update.
