Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP S2031 monitor has a cord that goes to a computer with the end being a pronged plug-in (like for a wall plug).

My HP laptop needs a USB end.

What kind of convertor/cable do I need to connect the two.

I think the answer is HDMI - DVI-D cable.

Thanks.

@S_Sandoz

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

To get the answer to this question, support for HDCP enables the monitor to display HDTV resolution if connected through the HDMI or DVI connector. A monitor without HDCP support, or connected through analog VGA, causes the displayed video to be downgraded in quality to a DVD-like resolution that is less than HDTV.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
