HP P600 SSD 1TB External Hard Drive
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had my P600 for over 2 years and have saved important creative files that were recorded for later use. In the spring of 2021, I was copying music from CDs on an external CD-ROM drive through my Laptop, to the eternal SSD.I noticed the SSD getting hot. I let the last few CDs copy and then my PC went into rest mode. When I opened it from rest mode, my SSD was no longer recognizable on any PC or with any cord. I was able to see some USBs in device manager when it could occasionally connect but it said they were also not working properly. I am not able to select it or see it in any software to allocate a drive letter to it or repair, initialize or even reformat it (which I really don't want to do). Please help. I've been trying tons of solutions all to no avail.

Hi@SharktheNerd, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
