I do not see any phone number listed once my product has been identified, and the chat is automated, which I have tried before to no avail.

I have a yes or no question, is the HP Pavilion x2 - 12-b020nr able to use a 45w 3rd party USB-C charger, while the computer is on?

Thank you for posting back.

To get the answer to this question, NO the USB-C port will not charge your computer.

The USB-C port IS the charging port. The OEM HP charger is shaped like USB-C, and puts out 45W, variable, but peak 15v 3A. I have a USB-C charger, that puts out 45W, variable, but peak 15v 3A, that the computer will not recognize. This is not a hardware problem, this is an HP problem. HP promised a BIOS update that would allow this, and as of 2020, the latest BIOS update (f.24) still does not support this.
