All in one desktop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Got a return label to return my all-in-one-desktop computer (bought a laptop instead). First question is: label says buyers remorse. I don’t think that description is very accurate but does that matter when HP assesses restocking fee? Makes me a little less eager to order computers directly with HP, but oh well.

 

There is hardly any data on the desktop since I just tested it out for a while. However, the erasing of data on the desktop is taking forever and it appears I will be late For the return, since I’m supposed to drop off today. Why is it taking so long to erase? How can I speed it up?

 

I got the return label On Tuesday and it’s is supposed to be good until today. Not sure why, I thought there were extended returns? And do you think it’s an issue for HP if I send the desktop a day (Or two since it’s sunday tomorrow) late? I read that HP erases data on computers they get back but I don’t want to risk not deleting my data. On top of everything else, fedex is closing earlier than normally due to holidays or covid or whatever....

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to delete the data from your computer before you ship it out to HP and it may get a little delayed.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

I recommend you contact support and they will assist you in this regard.

 

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

 

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Hello,

I bought my laptop online thru hp.store.com.

I have similar question- got my laptop on Dec 25,2021 and found out an issue - flickering screen. I want to return the laptop, not to be repaired and get my money back.

What is the procedure to obtain the return label? I was trying these 2 days to reach one on the phone but after waiting 3 hours just gave up, really disappointed and probably wont by something from there anymore.
