Use HP Omni 27 - 1000eb as an external monitor

I have an AOI desktop HP Omni 27- 1000eb.
I don't use it as a PC any more because it is outdated and not up to date. I now have a laptop and would like to use the screen of the Omni 27 which is still in excellent condition and is the right size to be able to put the data from my laptop on. Despite several attempts, I am unable to do so. I have read that it is apparently not possible because there is no HDMI input on the HP Omni 27- 1000eb device. Is it possible to install such a HDMI input so that I can still use my old PC as a screen? It would be a shame to have to buy a new screen and throw the HP Omni 27- 1000eb into the rubbish.
