Product: HP 14s-Fq1030AU Laptop
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi, I am using HP 14s-Fq1030AU Laptop. i am aware that it operates on bluetooth version 4.2. However, most of the earbuds today have bluetooth 5.0 installed. will my earbuds of bluetooth 5.0 connect with this laptop? is there anyway to upgrade the bluetooth version on my PC? 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi:

 

The only way to upgrade the Bluetooth would be to purchase a USB Bluetooth 5.0 adapter.

 

Bluetooth is supposed to be backward-compatible which means a BT 5.0 device should pair and work with a BT 4.2 device.
