HP stream 7
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

So recently all has been going well on my HP device until a recent update, I chose the optional updates as well and updated, after if Finnished, Touch and button inputs became unresponsive on the lock screen, though it wasn't softlocked as the clock changed periodically. I don't quite know what happened but I'm hoping to get it fixed soon, I have also come to the conclusion that is may be windows based due to touch and buttons working in the component check in post

Any help would be quite appreciated

Hi@JadeHeart,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing Windows 10 issues with the HP Stream 7.

Your Stream 7 will upgrade to Windows 10 just fine.

I highly suggest that you copy all your files you wish to keep onto another drive and use a Micro SD card in the slot provided. Then you can erase the files on the C drive to give you more space.

After you complete the upgrade, you can point your default data folders over to the Micro SD card to continue storing your data there. This will keep the available free space clear for other stuff like OS Updates and such.

Redirect a folder to a new location - Windows Help

You can also install programs to a folder in your Micro SD card to help maintain free space if you need.

Once Windows 10 has upgraded and updated and you decide to keep Windows 10, you can remove the Windows Old folder that has the Windows 8.1 files stored for reverting.

To do this, use Windows Disk Cleanup utility. This will free up more space.

Do both for Delete Files and Delete System Files in the instructions.

Delete files using Disk Cleanup - Windows Help

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
