finding windows key for windows 8

looking to reinstall windows, can't with windows it says i have no recovery media. so looking to reinstall windows from a USB that I downloaded but need the windows key and I can't find it please help

Hi:

If your notebook did not come with W8.1 with Bing, you can install W8.1 for free by downloading the plain W8.1 64 bit ISO file from the link below and it will automatically pick up the Windows 8.1 product key in the BIOS.

Download Windows 8.1 Disc Image (ISO File) (microsoft.com)

Use the microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below that you will need to transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so that it is bootable, or you can use a different free utility such as Rufus.

After W8.1 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

Yes, the tool I zipped up and attached above will work on any Windows ISO file from Vista to W10.
