Hello -- I'm new to the forum -- I work with a company that uses Blackwire 5220's for remote work. We have hundreds of them. Fairly often we run into an issue where an end user has a 5220 that shows up as a 5210. On occasion, reseating, changing USB Port, or unplugging the red wire to controller and plugging it re-seating firmly will resolve the issue. But generally it does not. We end up having to replace the unit(s) when we see this. As times goes on we see more and more. Does anyone know a solution to this issue? Or do we just need to accept they go defective and move on?

This is all on Windows (Win10) Professional.

Typically the mic is also very quiet or essentially muted when this symptom is seen. We have never purchased or used 5210's so we know these are 5220 units 🙂
