The microphone for my Blackwire 7225 is no longer working.  I can hear people, they can't hear me.

Tests with Zoom and Teams show it is not functioning and the picuture below from Zoom shows there is an issue with my mic.  Any ideas?

Hi dmsinger,

Welcome to HP Poly community!
Which device are you connecting, and how is the device connected to the headset (is it connected to any external hub)?
Is the headset firmware up to date?

Which device are you connecting

<DMS> Plantronics Blackwire 7225 headset (USB-A)

and how is the device connected to the headset (is it connected to any external hub)?

<DMS> Most of the time, I connect it to a Mokin 13 in 1 USB-C Hub.  I also connect it directly to my HP ZBook laptop.

Is the headset firmware up to date?

<DMS> Yes, as I always use Plantronics Hub and make certain it is on latest firmware...

  2. Click "Hardware and Sound."
  3. Under the Sound tab, click Manage Audio Devices.
  4. On the Playback tab, click your headset, and then click the "Set Default" button.
  5. On the Recording tab, click your headset, and then click the "Set Default" button.
  6. Click OK to save your changes.
